> Real-time deal intelligence API — coupon codes with recency signals, best deals on any product, sale event intelligence, and live price comparison — via x402 micropayments on Base mainnet.

DealPulse's moat is freshness. Every query is a live web search. Codes are surfaced with recency signals ("mentioned 2 hours ago across 4 sources") rather than pulled from stale databases. Claude synthesizes results into ranked, actionable intelligence.

## Endpoints

GET /api/deals/store?store={name}
- Returns: current promo codes, sales, cashback, and offers for any store or restaurant. Each code includes confidence rating and recency signal. Includes cashback app opportunities and a "best play" recommendation.

GET /api/deals/item?query={product}&budget={amount}
- Returns: best current deal on a specific product — ranked by estimated savings across sale, coupon, cashback, price match, bundle, and refurbished options. Includes buy_now_or_wait recommendation and price trend context.

GET /api/deals/compare?item={product}
- Returns: live price comparison across major retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc.) with shipping, return policy, active promotions, and effective price after promos. Includes best_overall recommendation and price history note.

GET /api/deals/event?event={name}&category={category}
- Returns: best deals for major sale events (Black Friday, Prime Day, Cyber Monday, etc.) filtered by category. Each deal rated genuinely_good / decent / hype / skip. Includes categories with best deals, categories to skip, and a shopping strategy.

## Payment

All endpoints use x402 protocol. No payment header → HTTP 402 with PAYMENT-REQUIRED header (0.05–0.10 USDC on Base mainnet). Send valid PAYMENT-SIGNATURE → 200 with structured JSON.

- Tavily — real-time web search across deal sites, Reddit, Slickdeals, DealNews, and retailer pages
- Claude Sonnet — synthesis, confidence rating, and buy/wait analysis
